German police reported the occurrence of a security incident at Leipzig Airport and the closure of the airport’s northern runway. According to police, a car likely entered the airport premises late on Saturday by breaking through the security barrier.

The incident occurred near the location where three Russian Antonov cargo planes are parked, which have been grounded since 2022.
