Fox News, citing Michael Duffy, U.S. Deputy Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Support, reported that the U.S. Army has sufficient capability to deal with any threat and that the administration of Donald Trump, president of the United States, is focused on rebuilding military capability and strengthening the defense industries.

Duffy said that Trump, Pete Hegseth, the U.S. secretary of defense, and Dan Kinne, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, have all emphasized that the Army is ready to confront any threat and can defeat it at a time and place of its own choosing.

As Fox News wrote, these remarks are being made at a time when, with the increase in conflicts, including a war with Iran, concerns about U.S. arms stockpiles have been rising. Duffy said the U.S. government will increase the production of missiles and other weapons, create larger stockpiles, and, in cooperation with the defense industries, accelerate the production process of key munitions.

He emphasized that the U.S. government is in the process of signing new contracts with defense companies in order to increase the capacity to produce the weapons needed by the Army in the shortest possible time.
