Following the further escalation of fighting between Saudi Arabia and the Houthis, media under the Houthis’ control reported on Thursday, 26 Shahrivar, attacks by Saudi airstrikes on areas in Hajjah province, near the border of this country and the Red Sea coast, as well as around Taiz.
Reuters reported that the strikes took place at the same time as the continuation of the Houthis’ missile and drone attacks on Saudi Arabia. In recent days, Riyadh has increased airstrikes on Houthi positions, while in return, the Houthis have continued attacks on Saudi cities and infrastructure.
The fighting has intensified after the Houthis’ rapid advance on Yemen’s western coast. Over the past days, the group has seized the port of Mokha, Al-Dhabba, and parts of the Red Sea coastline near Bab al-Mandab.
