The IRGC Navy said early Friday, Sept. 27, that an oil tanker with the flag of Togo, which was under the support of the U.S. Army, was targeted when it attempted an “illegal” passage through the Strait of Hormuz.

According to the IRGC’s statement, the tanker caught fire after being targeted and stopped moving. The name of the tanker, the condition of the crew, and the extent of the damage done to it have not yet been announced.
