In response to reactions to Masoud Pezeshkian’s calling protesters “terrorists” at the United Nations, Masoumeh Shafiei, the sister of the late Mahi Shafiei, published a video on social media in which she said: “As long as I exist, I will stand up for the blood-demand of my brother and my dear nephew.”

Mehdi Shafiei and his 18-year-old son Mani were killed in the city of Qaimiyeh, Islamshahr, on 19 Dey 1404, by gunfire from government forces.
