⏺Following protests over the conditions for sending U.S. aircraft carrier fleets, CBS interviewed Jefferson Cly, whose son, 20-year-old Jackson, has gone for his first sea duty on the USS Abraham Lincoln.

In the interview, he said, “They shouldn’t be in the mission for that long.”

He even wrote a letter to his state senator, Bernie Moreno, and suggested that he himself go instead of his son so that Jackson can return home. He emphasized that this request is entirely his own and that his son did not ask him for anything.
