Eshkan Nizam-Abadi, an economic journalist, said the loss of hundreds of thousands of industrial jobs, reduced investment, an energy crisis, and falling demand have pushed Iran’s economy into a critical stage. He added that southern provinces, especially Hormozgan, have suffered the most damage from this situation due to disruptions in exports, tourism, and economic activity.

He also said that with the continuation of sanctions, the lack of a clear outlook for a deal, and the ongoing structural problems of the economy, there is no sign of improvement in the short term and pressure on people’s livelihoods and the job market will continue to increase.
