The Egyptian Foreign Ministry condemned the attack by Houthi rebels supported by the Islamic Republic on a power station in the city of Medina, Saudi Arabia.

Egypt described the attack as an “overt violation” of international law and a threatening act against Saudi Arabia’s security and stability.

Cairo stressed that it rejects any attempt to undermine Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and, while announcing full solidarity with Riyadh, supports the country’s measures to protect its security and stability.

A coalition led by Saudi Arabia said that the Houthi rebels attacked a power distribution station in Medina on Thursday evening, the ninth of Mehr.
