Donald Trump, the U.S. President, said: “Iran wanted to make a deal. Maybe they are waiting for the election. Elections will not help them.”

He, while referring to the impact of the war on the Islamic Republic’s military capability and economic situation, added: “We have smashed their military capabilities and severely weakened their financial resources. They don’t have money.”

Trump also said: “They have the highest inflation rate in the world; it is now 340 percent. See what happens.”
