Donald Trump, President of the United States, said on Thursday that, in his view, the Islamic Republic is not yet ready to reach an agreement, and added that Washington will only accept an agreement that it considers “good.”

Trump said the United States has eliminated the Islamic Republic’s ability to obtain nuclear weapons, and said that if it hadn’t used B-2 bombers, Iran could have moved toward building nuclear weapons.

He described the Islamic Republic as being in a “very weak” position and added that Iran’s economy is in its worst state, with inflation exceeding 300 percent, and that the government is unable to pay the salaries of military and police forces.

Trump also said that the United States controls the Strait of Hormuz and that American forces destroy large numbers of ships at night and have destroyed the Islamic Republic’s radars.

In response to a question about the likelihood of sending more forces or reaching an agreement, the U.S. president said: “I think ultimately we will win. I don’t know if this win will come through an agreement or not.”
