The U.S. Treasury Department added three individuals and two companies linked to the Islamic Republic, including the Bitbanc exchange and the E-commerce Trading Company PishTaz Simorgh, to its sanctions list. U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said the Islamic Republic cannot use cryptocurrencies to keep its financial resources out of reach of U.S. sanctions.
