According to reports by news agencies, Donald Trump, the U.S. president, in response to this question of whether the discovery of a drone carrying explosives at Leipzig/Halle airport could be considered an attack on NATO, said: “We talk together; I know him very well. Putin doesn’t want to attack NATO’s territory.”

The U.S. president did not provide any further details about the basis for this assessment.
