🔶 Deputy of Pezeshkian: With the U.S. naval blockade, we cannot import gasoline

Mohammad-Jafar Qaimpanah, executive deputy of Masoud Pezeshkian, president of Iran, and head of the Presidential Institution, emphasized the need to implement “changes in energy carriers, including gasoline and diesel.”

He said: “The distribution of gasoline in the country is not fair. The person who has several cars uses the subsidy, and people who do not have cars do not benefit from this issue.”

According to IRNA news agency, Qaimpanah called for talks with “all stakeholders” so that “after the result and final approval, information will be provided.”

In another part of his remarks, Pezeshkian’s executive deputy said: “Regarding energy carriers, continuing this course is impossible. Moreover, gasoline production is not sufficient, and with the U.S. naval blockade, we cannot import gasoline.”
