🔶 Caroline Leavitt steps down as White House press secretary

According to Donald Trump, the U.S. president, Caroline Leavitt will step down from her position as White House press secretary at the end of August so that she can “spend more time with her family and children.”

On Wednesday, August 12 (21 Mordad), Trump posted in a message on his social network, Truth Social, expressing understanding of his spokesperson’s decision to step down. He said that he “respects” this decision and Leavitt’s move to leave the White House.

In his message, the U.S. president also wrote that in the future Leavitt will work as one of his important senior advisors outside of his government apparatus and will “remain an influential voice” in the Republican Party.

Trump praised Leavitt’s activities since 2018, including her involvement in the 2024 election campaign.

At 28, Leavitt is the youngest figure who has served as White House press secretary to date. She gave birth to her second child this May, and in mid-July, after a brief rest and leave, she resumed her work.
