The British Foreign Secretary announced that the government will double its diplomatic efforts to end the war with the Islamic Republic, because the war has increased the cost of living in Britain.

David Lammy said in a video on the social network X: “The cost of living crisis is the number one issue for the people of Britain.” He added that the government knows that the war “increases energy and food costs and inflation.”

Lammy said he would do his part to “bring an end to this conflict,” calling the war “far too long,” which has “caused a great deal of damage” to the people of Britain.

He said: “We can’t bear any more of this.”

Lammy described the reason for his presence at the Istanbul meeting with foreign ministers of European and Middle Eastern countries as putting an end “once and for all” to the conflict and bringing peace to the families affected in Britain.
