🔺Britain welcomed new U.S. sanctions against the Islamic Republic

▪Britain’s finance minister said the country supports the U.S. effort to reach a diplomatic solution regarding the Islamic Republic and welcomes measures aimed at increasing economic pressure.

▪He added: «Since this government took office, it has imposed more than 240 sanctions against the Islamic Republic—measures that threaten our people and our security—and we will continue working alongside the United States and other partners to apply economic pressure on Iran.»

▪Healy also asked the Islamic Republic to stop its «destabilizing» activities throughout the region, including in the Strait of Hormuz.
