🔺Borders closed and Iran flight suspensions in Iraq
▪The land borders between Iran and Iraq have been closed, and Basra’s international airport has suspended all flights between the two sides until further notice.
▪The deputy governor of Khuzestan said that the Shalamcheh and Chazabeh borders have been closed since early Friday, based on the announcements by Iraqi officials. According to a report by Iraq’s Hawrami News Agency, the Basra airport also halted flights from Iran.
▪The reason for neither of the two decisions has been announced, but developments in these areas and the approach of the Iraqi government indicate that, from Baghdad’s perspective, the main culprits behind the drone attack on oil transfer lines in Saudi Arabia are groups affiliated with and supported by the Islamic Republic.
▪The removal of the commander of Maysan and the closure of the borders of this province were carried out within a few hours.
