Based on information received by Iran International from sources inside Iran, Shahrzad Zomiri, a political prisoner and former FARAJA major, who had been released from Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad on August 17 by posting a bail of 50 billion tomans and under security conditions, was summoned again for questioning to the military prosecutor’s office.
According to a report from Iran International sources, several days after the protests in Dey (December/January), Shahrzad Zomiri was summoned to the FARAJA, and was then arrested. She was held in solitary confinement for about two months, had no access to a lawyer, and her assets were also confiscated. Informed sources said that her charges were related to helping the protesters.
