At least 80 people died after a passenger ferry capsized in Zimbabwe, the local police said.

The accident occurred on August 11 on Lake Kariba amid strong winds and high waves. The overall number of people onboard the ferry is still unknown since children accompanied by their parents were allowed on board without tickets. The search operation continues.
