Following the intensification of Washington’s pressures on the Islamic Republic, Scott Bessent, U.S. Treasury Secretary, announced the start of the Islamic Republic’s policy of “economic exile.” He said the goal of this campaign is to close all routes for circumventing sanctions and to put an end to what he called “the management of threats by the Islamic Republic.” According to Bessent, this policy targets areas such as cryptocurrency, shipping, aviation, gold, and technology.

Bessent also, while referring to the collapse of the Berlin Wall, urged the Islamic Republic’s military forces to reflect on the decisions of their commanders. At the same time, Pete Hegseth, U.S. Secretary of Defense, emphasized that if the Islamic Republic directly confronts the U.S. army, the military option remains on the table.
