Arash Aramish, a lawyer and national security expert, said the main problem in Donald Trump’s policy toward the Islamic Republic is its unpredictability and lack of strategic coherence.

He added that on the one hand, Trump increases pressure on the Islamic Republic, but on the other hand, by proposing the purchase of fuel from Russia, he provides financial resources to one of Tehran’s main supporters. According to Aramish, America’s national security should not be sacrificed to electoral considerations and efforts to reduce fuel prices.
