Arash Aramesh, a lawyer and national security expert, said the federal court may agree with the media’s request for a temporary, limited suspension of the White House access restrictions if it determines that this action would cause them irreparable harm and that there is a likelihood of success in their lawsuit. He added that this case, in addition to the First Amendment to the Constitution, is also related to the right to due process.

Aramesh also said that the media’s opposition to this restriction is not merely a political disagreement, but rather a defense of freedom of the press and the U.S. Constitution. He emphasized that even media outlets close to Donald Trump believe the government cannot simply limit media access because of dissatisfaction with news coverage.
