Amir Gayti, an Iran International reporter, referring to the trip by Massoud Pezeshkian, the head of government, and Abbas Araghchi, the foreign minister of the Islamic Republic, to New York, said that the United Nations General Assembly could be the Islamic Republic’s “last battleground of diplomacy” for offering the concessions that the United States wants.

He added that if U.S. President Donald Trump does not reach the conclusion through direct talks or intermediaries such as Pakistan, Qatar and Turkey that the Islamic Republic is willing to make these concessions, Washington may turn to continuing economic pressure or a military action.
