Reuters, citing an Iranian senior official and two regional officials, claimed that despite remarks by President Trump, an agreement on Hormuz is unlikely to be signed in the near future, and that there are still other important issues that must be resolved before reaching such an agreement.

“Discussions are progressing, but it’s too early to say that an agreement with Oman has been reached.” This was said by an Iranian senior official.
