Amir Goiti, an Iran International journalist, referring to Donald Trump’s remarks, the U.S. president, about the Islamic Republic not being ready for an agreement, said Trump does not mean that Tehran has no interest in negotiations; rather, the Islamic Republic is still not ready to make concessions regarding its nuclear program, the Strait of Hormuz, and its missile program.

He added that America’s economic pressures and the closure of routes to bypass sanctions place the Islamic Republic before a choice between negotiating for “breathing space” or continuing the existing economic conditions until they “melt away bit by bit.”
