Ali Shirazi, a member of the editorial board of Iran International, referring to the gathering of government supporters and the demand for the prosecution of Hassan Rouhani, said: «Due to the record of his government’s negotiations with the United States and his support for diplomatic solutions, Rouhani is identified by the hardliners close to Khamenei’s circle as one of the likely options for a deal with Washington, and for this reason he has been targeted by their attacks.»
