According to Syrian state television, Israeli forces are carrying out ground raids and clearing areas almost daily in the outskirts of Quneitra in the southwest of Syria.
The network reported that two tanks and three military vehicles entered the Samdaniyeh area on Sunday morning and, after patrolling, retreated toward an Israeli base about an hour later.
The network also reported similar raids in recent days near Ein Ziwān, Rāfid, and the Yarmouk basin.
Based on this report, Israeli forces destroyed agricultural lands and pastures with bulldozers and temporarily blocked a road. In addition, water and sewage networks and bridges over Wadi al-Raqad were damaged due to the passage of heavy vehicles.
The report, quoting a local official, said that Israel described these clearances as a precautionary measure to maintain security against explosive materials that it fears may have been laid by Hezbollah or the Islamic Republic, but residents of the area said that none of these forces were present there.
