According to HRANA, Manoچهر Bakhtiyari, the father of Pooya Bakhtiyari, who was one of the victims of the protests of Aban 98, is being held in Bandar Abbas prison. Despite suffering from multiple illnesses and needing specialized medical care outside prison, he is still being denied the medical services he requires.

Manoچهر Bakhtiyari suffers from several illnesses including prostate disease, a cervical disc, spinal canal stenosis, and heart problems, yet he continues to be kept under inappropriate physical conditions in Bandar Abbas prison.

A source familiar with the matter told HRANA that the cervical disc between the third and fourth vertebrae of Manoچهر Bakhtiyari’s neck is severely affected.

He was transferred to a hospital on 26 Khordad of this year for an MRI scan, but after the result of this test was determined in Tir, the images and results were not provided to a specialist neurologist, and no effective treatment follow-up has been carried out in this regard to date.
