Abdolhossein Hemmati, a member of the board of directors of the Energy Commission of the parliament, told the House of Nation news agency: “Today, the global oil and gas market is facing a set of risks simultaneously along the routes of energy production, refining, and transmission, and European countries are becoming more vulnerable ahead of the cold season.”

Hemmati added: “As European countries move closer to the cold season, they have a greater need to complete gas reserves and supply LNG cargoes, and any disruption in the flow of gas exports from the Persian Gulf region or the extension of maritime transport routes will ultimately lead to higher prices.”
