Abbas Aliabadi, the Minister of Energy, in a “nationwide power outage drill and evaluation of emergency power generators,” said: “Recently, we received a letter from the Imam in which emphasis was placed on moving toward a direction in which homes are not only not dependent on power supply from the external grid, but can also sell or transfer their surplus electricity to neighbors.”

The Minister of Energy added: “In conditions where the enemy may attack us at any moment, we must think about the resilience of the grid.”

He continued: “The use of emergency generators, as a fundamental strategy communicated to us by the Civil Defense Organization, has been conveyed to us, and in this regard, good steps have been taken.”
