👈 A letter from the U.S. Department of State dated September 18 shows that the U.S. Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) will assign a protective team for Abbas Araqchi, Iran’s foreign minister, during his trip to the United States to attend the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The letter says that a “full assessment” of possible threats against Araqchi on U.S. soil has been carried out, and security arrangements will also be coordinated with Iran’s delegation
