A clash broke out between Iraqi police and Iranian pilgrims in Iraq in front of the encampment of Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq Shirazi (opposed to the Iranian government), after which Iraqi police used a stun gun and batons.

140 people were arrested and 54 others were also injured.
