A video recorded on Monday, 12 Mordad, shows a group of horses fleeing the flames of a wildfire near the Kandili settlement in northwestern Athens. According to reports by local media, the horses were not injured, but the fire, which has been burning since the past days, has so far destroyed more than 100 homes, and during the firefighting containment operations, two people died after two fire helicopters collided.

Greek officials have said the initial cause of the fire was a spark in a private electricity transmission network, and in this connection they have detained two people on suspicion of negligence.
