🔺22 Chinese ships passed through Bab al-Mandab without damage

▪22 vessels with Chinese ownership, operation, or flag status transited the Bab al-Mandab Strait between 29 Tir and 11 Mordad, or docked at ports in Saudi Arabia, without even a single incident occurring to them.

▪ During the same period, Yemen’s Houthis targeted four Saudi oil tankers in three separate days. Marine data analytics company Windward released these figures in its latest report and wrote that the Houthis struck the two tankers “Ancyliya” and “Layla” on 21 Tir, “NCISSE Massaa” on 2 Mordad, and “NCSI Ghazal” on 5 Mordad.

▪ These attacks were carried out after the group’s announcement on 20 Tir, in which it called all shipping bound for Saudi Arabia a legitimate target.
