🔻After the holding of “Majid Darkhshani Night” with the initiative of Ali Dehbashi, images from the event have been widely shared on social media.

The event was held in Tehran’s Niaavaran Cultural Center as part of one of the “Bokhara Nights,” with the presence of a group of artists and music lovers, to honor Majid Darkhshani, a composer and performer of the tar and setar.

Mr. Darkhshani said at the event that he has always kept this question in mind as to why the memory of artists is honored after their passing. He added that honoring artists during their lifetime, among their fans, has a greater impact, and thanked Ali Dehbashi, the organizer of Bokhara Nights, for holding such a ceremony.

Hossein Alizadeh, a composer and performer of the tar and setar, also described Majid Darkhshani as an artist with perseverance and a love of music, and said that he has always been “a banner of support for young people and art.” Mr. Alizadeh also expressed hope that Majid Darkhshani will regain his health as soon as possible.
