The Attorney General of the United Arab Emirates has issued an order to form a special team to investigate the FlyDubai flight incident to Tel Aviv.

The investigations are expected to determine whether the incident is connected to a terrorist act, prior planning, or direction by another individual or entity.

Israeli officials say that the Omani co-pilot, after attacking the Indian captain, tried to take control of the aircraft. His passengers and crew restrained him, and the plane made an emergency landing in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia.

Investigations are continuing in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, and FlyDubai has also temporarily suspended its flights to Israel.
