🔶 Iranian media: U.S. airstrikes left at least 11 dead
According to statements by Iranian officials, at least 11 people were killed in U.S. airstrikes on targets in Iran.
On Wednesday, 11 Shahrivar (2 September), the state news agency IRNA, citing a deputy governor of Khuzestan, reported that in a night missile attack by the United States on three sites, seven people were killed and eight others were injured.
Iran’s Red Crescent had previously reported the killing of four people, including a child, following a U.S. attack on Sīrīk County in southern Iran.
In response to the U.S. action, U.S. targets in Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Iraq’s Kurdistan autonomous region were targeted by Iranian strikes.
Jordan’s armed forces said that its air defense systems confronted 13 ballistic missiles that entered Jordan’s airspace; 10 of them were intercepted and three others fell in remote areas. Bahrain also said that Iranian drones were intercepted and destroyed.
