🔻20 Premier League clubs, having spent more than 4 billion euros on summer transfers, set a new record for the summer transfer window.

🔹According to Reuters, English Premier League clubs broke their summer transfer spending record for the second consecutive season, with their expenditure reaching about £3.46 billion ($4.67 billion / more than €4 billion).

🔹This wave of lavish spending continued until the last hours of Tuesday evening, before the transfer window closed, and several major deals were recorded in the final moments.

🔹With new management under Enzo Maresca, Manchester City topped the spending table by spending £458 million. On the final day, the club signed Enzo Fernandez, Chelsea’s Argentine midfielder, on a £125 million deal (equal to a British history record), and also recruited Iliman Ndiaye, Everton’s Senegalese winger, for £65 million. City had previously bought Elliott Anderson from Nottingham Forest for £116 million.
