🔸Who is the Iranian left? Is everyone who speaks about social justice, the rights of minorities, the environment and a democratic, secular and progressive system, the left? And if so, why must it still be held accountable for the legacy of the Soviet Union, the mistakes of the Tudeh Party, and what happened in the 1979 Iranian Revolution?
🔸In the radio program “Paragraph One,” Azadeh Kian, a sociologist and professor of sociology at Paris-Sitei University and the former director of the Social Sciences Department and the Center for Gender and Feminism Studies at this university, along with Abbas Vali, a political theorist, sociologist and former professor at universities in Wales and Boğaziçi in London, discussed the issue of “Iranian left” and the opponents of this current among the forces on the right and the so-called monarchists.
