🔸U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday promised that the United States will never forget the September 11, 2001 attacks and said that 25 years later, during a confrontation with Iran, the country would continue to fight a “war on terror.”
🔸Speaking at the Pentagon, Trump said: “Today we renew the sacred vow that we first vowed a quarter century ago in their name. We will never, never forget. That is why we fight today.”
🔸Trump added: “We don’t have a choice. The only thing that can exist is victory. We fight hard. We fight to win.”
🔸Trump said: “Today we pay tribute to all the forces of the U.S. Army that have served in the ‘war on terror.’ This is a war against a diseased and horrific terrorism.”
🔸He added: “We also pay tribute to the military forces that are serving right now; forces that ensure the Islamic Republic of Iran, the world’s biggest supporter of terrorism, will never, never obtain nuclear weapons.”
