🔻Lionel Messi has reached an initial agreement with the current owners of Al Densé for the purchase of this Spanish club. If finalized, the transfer will confirm his presence in professional football in Spain as an investor.

🔹Earlier this year, Messi bought UE Cornellà, a team in the third tier of Catalonia’s football leagues. Under the initial agreement, he intends to acquire 100% of the shares of Al Densé without the involvement of a third party.

🔹Al Densé has recently been promoted to Spain’s Segunda División (LaLiga 2) and is based in Elda, in the province of Alicante. If the deal is finalized, the club will become one of Messi’s football assets in Spain—where he plans to live after his playing career ends with Inter Miami.

🔹Messi’s agreement with the owners of Al Densé could be finalized in the coming days, after completing the legal and contractual steps, including the required checks. This transfer also requires approval from Spain’s Consejo Superior de Deportes (CSD).

🔹Al Densé was previously bought by an international investment group of Colombian origin, led by Juan Carlos Trojillo. Trojillo purchased the club in October 2025 from Pascual Pérez. In recent months, rumors have also circulated about Argentine investor Ricardo Piñeyro’s interest in buying Al Densé for around €12 million.

🔹Sportingly, Al Densé is also not in a good position. On Monday, the club dismissed Claudio Baragán; he was the first coach sacked this season in LaLiga 2. Al Densé has earned only two points from its first four matches of the season, and a new head coach has not yet been appointed for the team.
