🔻Mohammad-Ali Sabitghadam, managing director of the Sports Facilities Development and Maintenance Company, said that the construction works at Azadi Stadium will be completed in Mehr (October) and that the initial operation of this complex with full capacity will begin in Azar (December).

🔹After a meeting with members of parliament, Sabitghadam said that the stadium renovation is being carried out under an 18-month contract and that despite inflation and unwanted delays, the project is within the permitted timeframe.

🔹He also said that new requirements from the Football Federation and the Asian Football Confederation will not prevent the holding of league matches and Asian games, and that additional follow-up measures and maintenance after the initial opening will continue.

🔹Azadi Stadium was supposed to be ready for the 1405–1406 season, but it has not yet been completed. Esteghlal and Persepolis have been forced to hold their matches outside Tehran—so much so that even the 107th Tehran derby was held in Isfahan.
