🔺Islamic Republic increases Hormoz blacklist with neighboring fleets
▪ The so-called “Hormoz Strait Waterway Management” of the Islamic Republic has raised its list of “offending” vessels to 77, with most of the additions being the fleets of Iran’s Arab regional neighbors.
▪ Based on a report by Sea-Trade Maritime, the largest number of vessels on the list belongs to ADNOOK, the UAE.
▪ Kuwait Oil Tankers is included in the list with the vessels Barqan, Kefan, Al Kout, Ar-Raqa, and As-Salam 2. Qatar’s Nakilat company is also present with its giant gas tankers.
▪ More than half of the 77 vessels are crude oil, refined products, or liquefied gas tankers affiliated with the region’s national energy companies. The rest consist of Western, Greek, and Japanese fleets that operate under charter for these same energy routes.
