Israel’s defense minister warned that anyone who approaches Al-Tayyre heights in southern Lebanon will be “destroyed.”

On Sunday, Israel’s defense minister Yisrael Katz said in a statement: “Al-Tayyre Heights are part of the Yellow Line and Israel’s security zone in Lebanon. The Israel Defense Forces are stationed to hold the heights and prevent Hezbollah or any other side from trying to return and redeploy.”

Katz added: “Whoever approaches the heights will be destroyed.”

Al-Tayyre Heights had previously been the subject of a direct warning from the Islamic Republic. In late Mordad, the Islamic Republic sent a message to Washington via Oman saying that Israel’s seizure of Al-Tayyre violates Iran’s red line.
