🔶 Tehran Prosecutor’s Office files a complaint against “DidarNews” due to criticism of night-time gatherings
Tehran Prosecutor’s Office has filed a complaint against those involved in the video media outlet “DidarNews”. The Iran judiciary’s media center, Mizan News Agency, named the reason for this action as “insulting and false statements by the people behind this program”.
On Thursday, 12 Shahrivar, Mizan wrote that these statements led to “a lot of criticism” and, after a judicial review, “given the false and insulting content, a complaint was filed against the staff and officials of this media”.
The news comes after remarks by Parvaneh Salحشوری, a former member of parliament, on this outlet about night-time gatherings.
In the interview, Salحشوری, while criticizing the holding of night-time gatherings, said that the continuation of this situation has caused some citizens to lose peace.
Mizan wrote that a judicial case has been formed at the Tehran Prosecutor’s Office and the matter is being pursued for legal review.
