🔻Syria’s Al-Ikhbariyya TV network reported that a natural gas pipeline line exploded on Wednesday, the 8th of Mehr, near the Tishrin power plant in the outskirts of Damascus.

The network said that a powerful blast heard in the area was caused by the pipeline explosion near the power plant.

The Syrian Electricity Company said that following the explosion and the disruption of the gas needed to operate power plants, the power plants of Deir al-Zour, Nasseriyah, and Tishrin were taken offline.
