Israel Army Spokesman Says the Country’s Forces Were Dispatched Late Monday After Reports of Clashes

The spokesperson for the Israel Defense Forces said that the forces of this country were sent to the scene late Monday after receiving reports about clashes between Palestinians and Israeli citizens who had entered the village of “Hajja” in the Efraim area.

According to the Israeli army, after the forces arrived, they halted the clashes and removed the Israeli citizens from the village, but then the Palestinians threw stones at the army forces.

The Israel Army says the forces first fired in the air and then shot at people whom they described as the “main instigators” of the unrest. Reports of bullet hits have been published, and the army said the incident is under investigation.
