🔻Donald Trump said about Iran: “We are dealing with a country that has been effectively destroyed. Their economy is not in a good state,” adding that “their navy has been destroyed. Their air force has been destroyed. Their air-defense equipment has been destroyed.”

The President of the United States, in remarks at the White House on the occasion of the United States’ military withdrawal from Iraq, said that “very soon you will witness very important events,” but did not provide further details.

Mr. Trump has again said that “we effectively have full control of the Strait of Hormuz.”

The U.S. president said that the volume of oil shipments that have passed through the Strait of Hormuz over the past three days “has been higher than any period in U.S. history,” and added: “I’m not just talking about the war period; I’m saying in all history.”

Mr. Trump’s remarks come while Iran says it has control of the Strait of Hormuz, and that conditions have not returned to what they were before the start of the recent war.
