In a report published on Friday, 20 Shahrivar (11 September), the Wall Street Journal, citing several U.S. officials, reported that Iran had received high-resolution satellite images of the American base in Jordan from Chinese entities before carrying out the July attack that resulted in the deaths of three American servicemembers.

The U.S. officials told the newspaper that “this is the clearest evidence to date showing that China’s support for Iran has had deadly consequences for American forces.”

In the attack, which in addition to the deaths of three American soldiers also left four wounded, Iran targeted the manned and unmanned aircraft stationed at the base.
