🔶 Baghai: Developments in Yemen have no connection to the Islamic Republic of Iran

Ismail Baghai, the spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, rejected any link between Tehran and recent developments in Yemen, and said that the United States is the main factor behind “disrupting efforts to resolve the Yemen crisis peacefully.”

Baghai said that Iran has announced its readiness to help facilitate dialogue and establish peace in Yemen. He said that the recent developments are the result of increased dissatisfaction among Yemenis and the continuation of the blockade against this country, and accused the United States of seeking to increase tensions among the countries of the region by attributing the developments in Yemen to Iran.

The Houthis in Yemen are one of the proxy groups supported by Iran, which operates alongside Hezbollah Lebanon and other groups aligned with the Islamic Republic.
